Happy New Year, Gerry and congratulations on the MBE!
I have been catching your website on the years and love how your paintings have developed since those early Manchester Airport paintings you were doing before leaving Rivington. I loved those by the way!

I still have your painting of my waistcoat hanging up at home, it brings back fond memories of Sixth form and A Level art classes, sadly I didn’t keep in touch with the “Boys” and being based in the South I won’t be bumping into them either, maybe when I visit Horwich!

I have now moved into the Textile Arts since the children have got older. I specialise in Ecclesiastical embroidery and I am currently attending the Royal School of Needlework to hone my skills. I have a website selling Stoles and Preaching Scarves which I make to order, it’s keeping me busy.

I’m not sure when I will be up North, but I would like to call in and see your studio, if possible?

I have been sent a copy of the article from the newspaper and wish you congratulations in your success.
